Writing Your Family History

Writing Your Family History – Transform Your Research into Shareable Stories

As genealogists we often focus on facts and uncover so much information that our research produces nothing but boring lists or charts.  In this class, you’ll learn how to transform your genealogy research into shareable stories. We will cover how to organize your family history writing project and set reasonable goals, how to implement “show, don’t tell” to create a more compelling narrative, tips for polishing your prose, and how to beat “writer’s block” to finally publish your stories in a book, eBook, or blog.  Examples and writing exercises will walk you step-by-step through the writer’s journey.

No matter your experience, this is a class for you. With Lisa’s help and feedback, you will overcome your writer’s block and learn the tips, tools, and techniques you need to produce a “can’t put down” family history!
